Purpose of the Job

Job Context:

  • Researching new vendors, tracking deliveries and updating order records (e.g. dates, invoices and discounts.) If you’re familiar with supply chain procedures and know how to create and translate cost analyses, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will make cost-effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory.

Challenges: 

  • Sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. Perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.

Key Accountabilities(1)

Accountabilities 

Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies.

Scope of work

Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs

Research potential vendors, Track orders and ensure timely delivery ,Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)

Conduct market research to identify pricing trends

Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices Procurement of raw material from our Warehouse as guideline of HO Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders Implementing systems to avoid situations like over-stocking or out-of-stock, which cause production and financial losses.

Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.

Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking Development of new vendors.

Liaison with finance department for timely payment of bills.

Education Qualification (Highest) with Target Institute(s)  Master degree in material management from reputed university

Desired Certifications:  Master degree in material management

Experience Range: 8-12 Years

Desirable experience:

  • Knowledge of benchmarking methodology and other tools are an advantage
  • Passion for market data and analytical eye and skilled communicator Advanced MS Excel and MS Power Point skills
